EMS Responder Procedure for Handling a Radiologically Contaminated Patient Information

The Transportation Emergency Preparedness Program has several Model Procedures available for emergency response agencies. The Model Procedures are designed to help remedy procedural weaknesses that the agency has identified by conducting the TEPP Model Needs Assessment.

The purpose of the EMS Responder Procedure for Handling a Radiologically Contaminated Patient is to provide guidance to EMS care providers for properly handling and packaging potentially radiologically contaminated patients.
